"The completed office sets a new standard for modern workspaces. What brings the most joy is that people genuinely want to come here, and the space functions exactly as intended."

Work & Approach

The goal was to create a work environment that boosts productivity, supports mental health and wellbeing, and gives people a real reason to come to the office. The project included large-scale wayfinding solutions, complex relocation logistics, ensuring information flow, and change management to help a large organisation transition smoothly from one workplace to another. We did all the planning based on Wise's existing office data and taking into account the habits of employees.

Breakthroughs

The team needed to accommodate the diverse needs of more than 2,500 employees representing 120 nationalities, creating a space where everyone feels at home. This meant designing areas that foster community and spontaneous interaction: such as a games room, music room, gym, prayer room and many other specialised spaces. At the same time, the office had to be planned years ahead, supporting future growth and ensuring the building functions smoothly both spatially and logistically.

Takeaways

The process demonstrated how essential it is to involve employees early on—through naming meeting rooms, sharing construction updates, and giving tours of the developing space. Such participation sparks excitement and builds connection with the new workplace.

Equally important is addressing people’s core concerns, such as analysing the most logical access routes to the new location. Transparency in the way teams work—leaders sitting in the same open areas as everyone else—shapes a culture where people operate on equal footing.

Facts to live rent free in your mind:

  • 50% of employees are international, representing 120 nationalities

  • Natural light and city views are key design elements

  • Secrete fan-favourite in the office: the pink inflatable chairs on the 3rd floor

  • No private offices for leaders – transparency is a principle
