"Staggered deliveries occasionally turned the installation site into a real-life game of Tetris."
Main team
The OCCO team was responsible for supplying the open furniture and lighting for Wise’s headquarters. The project was led by Mikk Lepind. Key roles included project managers Maaria Kingla, logistics manager Katriin Järv, installation manager Reimo Berkmann, and lighting designer Karin Elisabeth Ruut. The full installation team played a critical role – essentially the entire OCCO team contributed to the project’s delivery.
Work & Approach
Our task was to translate LÄVI’s creative concept and Wise’s requirements into tangible solutions – chairs, desks, lounge furniture, acoustic elements, and lighting, that together with the interior architecture create an inspiring and functional workplace. Each zone – open workspaces, private focus rooms, social lounges, and shared areas – was given its own character, resulting in a diverse and distinctive office environment.
Breakthroughs
The project’s scale and complexity were the biggest challenges: coordinating furniture from 41 manufacturers worldwide and managing lighting from 47 suppliers across 17 countries. Each floor and zone had its own identity, demanding precision, planning, and flexibility. Staggered deliveries occasionally turned the installation site into a real-life game of Tetris.
Takeaways
Managing a large-scale project requires meticulous planning, early preparation, and strong team collaboration. When the entire process is well-coordinated, even the most complex and international tasks can be delivered on time and as a cohesive whole.
Facts
Furniture and lighting: 91,982 kg
Furniture items: 4,396 pieces from 41 manufacturers
Lighting fixtures: 8,140 pieces from 47 manufacturers
Largest project in OCCO’s history
